At 10 a.m. EST, all of Viacom‘s channels suspended programming during the 17 minutes of silence remembering those lost in the Parkland shooting one month ago.

During that time, MTV also handed over control of its social media pages to participating students; the network will also cover the March For Our Lives rally on March 24.
